Master theif, Jace, accepts a hazardous contract, but is beaten to the punch by someone who literally dives off of a tower to escape with his prize.
The book describes the adventures of a growing group of strangers who get to know each other while traveling together (running for their lives).
There is a lot of action in this book. The rise and fall of powerful leaders, magic, and multitude of secrets is reminiscent of Game of Thrones. (but a much more PG version) I am looking forward to the next book.
My only constructive criticism that I would love to see more emotion in the book. I wanted to be more emotionally engaged with the characters and their stories.
Overall, this is a great book for some who likes fantasy and intrigue.
