not sure why almost the entirety of this series is free to listen to, but Im super stoked on it. I’m starting book 6 now and it’s been 3 days…it’s just enveloping and the intricacy of the universe, unique magic, fairly developed characters, and a punch after lunch high octane story that will give you whiplash if you miss even 15 minutes. Baldree is a new voice for me but does a phenomenal job and I’ll have to look into other books he’s lent his voice to. All around it’s just a solid story that keeps on getting better, pacing is pretty good, sometimes feels rushed, but when you start to grasp the sheer size and complexity of the story coming together, its much more impressive how cohesive and comprehensive the delivery is, I’ve listened to way too many books that just overloaded into an headache of tangled discombobulated clustertruck and I just lost interest in attempting to untangle the mess and gave up. This series does such a good job delivering at a good pace with a balance of foreshadowing, character development, and world building
