First, I love Jole Leslie as a narrator. He’s one of my favorites.

Second, althought I usually can’t stand stories involving time travel, I kept going with this one because I thought, for what this was, it was well written, to a point. I especially loved the love sotry between Gray and Shadow because I could totally relate to both character. I do agree with another reviewer that I thought the character of Elliot was rather mentally ill considering his obession with a serial killer. However, if that person had kept reading instead of giving up on the book she would have seen that he does redeem himself in the end.

Third, Having liked this story arch very much, I have to say I was rather disappointed with a couple of things. One, I thought Magpie wasn’t given enough of charactor time. He didn’t really feel like a real character to me compared to the real personalities that were given to the other characters. At least, not until the very end. And speaking of the ending, I thought it was really rushed and pretty damned anti-climatic for how it all ended. I was also disappointed that Knight and Elliot weren’t given an Epilogue at the end to wrap up their story arch like the other couples were. That pissed me off the most, since a couple of things to do with their story line were left hanging in the end. Unless KA Merikan decided to leave it vague in order to do a spin-off of this series, I wish they’d at least write up a couple of short stories explaining some of the loose endings.

Fourth, speaking of spin-offs, please! Give us one. I want to know how Laurant & Beast’s children turn out.
