This coming of age romance has moments where you’ll wonder if reading makes you complicit in the “love” story between a child and a man. It was awkward to read at times but what I enjoyed was how authentic the story was. Wavy was so likable even though her rough upbringing. Kellen was a saving grace. In real life, this stuff happens. And I’m so glad the author wasn’t afraid to go there with the narrative.
