Overall, this was a great 4 book series for me. I have only two issues and the rest of the book series kept me listening in every spare moment of my day until done. The story line created some interesting twists and ties between characters. Some parts seemed predictable, but then right when I thought I knew where it was going I would get surprised. I had read a review that said everyone but the survivolists were bad guys. I did not see it that way. There were plenty of references to how society in general outside the main characters, and I would say most were cast as desparate rather than bad people. Others were innocents caught in the wrong place unprepared and little emphasis was given to them, and rightfully so otherwise the story might have got slow in spots. Issues: (1) The start had me worried and it took a while to get to the meat of the story. Once the title is decrypted, you are home free from the slow start. (2) Techically I did not like the way the books were broken down in the app. I would highly recommend this to folks who enjoy fiction about how life in the USA might look after a rapid collapse and how preparation might help ease the effects, especially when combined with a healthy dose of cautious living.
