What a wonderful love story! NR Walker is such a fine writer…her characters so rich and layered, her descriptions of the outback take you right there. Joel Leslie perfectly captures these characters with this audio performance. His ability to switch seamlessly from an American Texas accent ( a very sexy one) to an Australian (also sexy) one sets the bar very high in narration. His performance is nuanced…. and perfectly paced. Now about this couple….GAAH! They are so manly and sexy, Charlie….the strong silent type and Travis the charming and sexy Texan cowboy who steals everyone’s heart….they are made for each other and I loved them both so.much. The supporting cast weaved throughout the story provided another view into this world Ms. Walker created. Thank you NR Walker for writing this book. I listened every second I could abd when when I had to stop I couldn’t wait to.get back to it. Now I’m on to book two and grateful to continue on this journey.
