The weird clipped narration, bizarre vowel vocalizations, abominable French pronunciation (is it really that hard to look up how to pronounce “Aix”?? Like, Google it!), insulting caricatures of all women’s voices… I could go on.
Frankly, I don’t know how to evaluate the quality of the writing or the story itself, so distracted was I by the narrator’s performance. Couldn’t get even halfway through. I’d be pissed if I were the author.
