Mr Wight has spun an excellent tale up to this point. The story is engaging and the characters are interesting and not at all stereotypical. This latest entry – Wintersteel – is just as engaging a the earlier books. My only complaint is the magic/fighting system Mr Wight has developed is a bit complex and can be hard to follow especially as it is read aloud. As this story has progressed, it gets more difficult to keep rank and style among the characters straight. I definitely recommend this book and the series.
