Jeff Hays’ narration is glorious once again. I’d seen some folks say that this entry lags around the middle, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. I really enjoyed the changes from book 1, it kept everything feeling fresh and new. Also? Oh man, this one goes a little deeper into how truly messed up the world is, and I’m so ready for but also scared by what’s gonna happen in book 3. Oh, and I almost couldn’t hit pause on this. Finished it in 2 listens.
