This is the eleventh book in the Wilder Irish Series. This is Darcy and Ryder’s story. Darcy is the youngest of Pop Pop’s grandchildren. She has been imagining her love story since she was a little girl. She always imagined to have a love like her Pop Pop’s and Grandma Sunday’s. She often compared it to The Princess Bride love story. She has been babysitting for Ryder’s son for the past four years. Darcy had become smitten with Ryder the first year. She knew he wasn’t in the right place to have a relationship again. So she was determined to wait until he was ready. Now that she is 25years old she is ready to start changing his mind. Ryder is a single dad with a very unique living situation. He is ten years older than Darcy, and has never really noticed her as a woman. On Halloween night when the city wide blackout happened, Darcy and Ryder got stuck in the elevator at work with a giant bottle of alcohol. That was the first night he started seeing Darcy as the beautiful woman she has become. Their relationship was a bumpy one. Ryder had a lot of hang ups to get past, but it worked out in the end. Lee Daniels and Connor Brown did a great job narrating this book.
