Most feared assassin in 50 solar systems – MORON.

Ex-slave, animal psychic, empath – MORON.

Ancient wise dragon, all powerful magical entity – MORON.

I do not need nor expect the protagonists of a story to be all knowing, but I need them to be not stupid.

Almost every obstacle put forth in this story was foreseeable.

My expectations may be too high, I thought this was an adult novel. But I have read Hardy Boys stories with more thought.

This was a poor rendition of a ‘Yankee in King Arthur’s Court’.
