(I’m typing this five hours in)
I haven’t finished this book yet, but it seems like the director went on vacation and the producer owes somebody money.
This is SOOO over produced, it’s actually laughable (100% distracting from the story).
Did somebody owe money (or a favor) to somebody else who has a musical relative ?
Why are there sound effects ,and WHAT IN THE ACTUAL Fπ¢k is going on with the cocktail party cool jazz background music !!??
Honestly, it’s placement is so random, it adds nothing to the story !
There are a few parts where it could fit (but not needed), but it’s like a drunk cousin found the keys to the recording studio and went on a self promotion stint.
It makes the whole story feel like somebody is pitching the idea for a book , to their roommate , while they’re stuck in an elevator and the program running the elevator music has missed a few updates.😢
