Lots happening in Book 5, some of it poignant and unforeseen. Authur is framed and destined for death and is saved but then faces several near death ordeals that are almost worse than death itself. There is a deeper exploration on the psychological aspects of his arrival to this realm which I found fascinating and left wondering even now how I would react under the same circumstances. I was pleased to see that the characters have moved away from the puppy-love phase as they grow older.

The progression of the story was amply and evenly paced for not only Authur but other secondary characters. There are a number of unexpected plot twists but one in particular becomes known out of the blue.

Travis Baldree’s performance? Super!

Onto Book 6
