Seriously? Have you people never listened to another audiobook? My guess is they are friends of the author. Look…the story isn’t terrible, the magic system is ok and the races are pretty well thought out. But this guy CANNOT write dialog. It is so childish that I kept waiting for the MC to say ” I’m rubber and you’re glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.” Its that bad. The narration is ok. Jeff decided to use his most annoying voice for the MC so enjoy that. Jeff Hayes is like the Dwayne Johnson of narration…he will read anything. Anyway, I cant recommend this book but it’s not so terrible that I would say dont buy it. You can always return it I guess. I won’t since I listened to the whole thing. I will probably get book 2 just to see where the story goes but I promise I won’t enjoy it!!
