Most of the book is split between every other character but the MC demonstrating how much more capable they are, and the MC bemoaning his lack of ability and (enforced) career choice.
Eventually, the author must have realized there was no reason for anyone to want to keep reading, so they gave the main character a ridiculously OP, but “secret” ability and then ended on a cliff hanger to suck readers into maybe one more book.
I won’t be buying the next book.
