DCC takes the Lit RPG genre to the softer side. Much in the same way as RPO, this novel uses the RPG as a facilitator to tell the story, unlike most other LitRPGS where the game IS most of the story. So you get all of the dungeon crawling goodness of combat and loot, with out the exhaustive stat breakdowns and the obligation to keep track of, what are ultimately, arbitrary numbers.

Also, I have not laughed so hard I was crying since I listened to Catch 22. Which got a little awkward at work.
