I downloaded this because it was suggested for me and included with my membership. I made it nearly halfway and HAD to stop. The description does not mention pedophilia, but that’s what it’s about. No getting around it. Even if there was some kind of grander meaning at the end, I couldn’t get there because of how graphic and disturbing the grooming is. And it kept getting worse. I really truly wish there would have been a trigger warning or a mention about who Wavy is in love with before I started listening. I found it very difficult to listen to the perspective of a grown man expressing sexual desire for a child and vice versa. I do feel like the writing caters to pedophiles, which makes my skin crawl. And while I don’t usually shy away from dark topics, there is something very sick about the romanticization of it in this book that really put me off.
