Ok, the only reason I could get through this was bc it was included in my membership and I’m currently out of credits. And honestly some of the storyline was interesting….. but the characters were so unlikeable. Practically zero redeeming qualities. So hard to figure out who is actually a protagonist vs an antagonist bc you just want to bitch slap them all. And the storyline wasn’t very cohesive…. It read more like a bunch of short stories slapped together Willy Nilly…. Like even when they finally killed one of the true bad guys that you could really tell was an antagonist, it just kind of …. Happened. No lead up, just another short story slapped on the heels of the previous one. I listened to it at double speed to get through as fast as possible. Poor imitation of the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. Go listen to that series if you want the same type of story and paranormal world, but much better written.
