When gods play games mortals always suffer. The world and the mortals matter little as no matter the race the gods don’t care. We are nothing more to them than pieces on a board. In this case the gods have champions that come from other worlds to effect changes in their worlds. Souls are traded as if they are nothing. The deck is rigged and for centuries secrets have been kept as gods stack the deck in their favor. The all star cast takes this audiobook and elevates it to an audio drama. The story is great the “game” mechanics are well thought out. Be ready for a wild ride. Realize not for young ears as there are some scenes of a sexual nature.
