Corny review title? Yes. Good hook though? Debatable. So you like dinosaurs, Alex Raizman, Annie Elliott and or Jeff Hays and that’s how you got here right? Let’s talk about what to expect.
This story of Wrath has some elements you’ll find familiar with other dungeon core titles however the twist is a fun one, the dinosaurs. I won’t spoil anything though I will explain in vague terms. The main character is motivated in ways that feel authentic to the experiences in the first chapter and what she endured. Annie smashes it out of the park here as usual with her lines and voices which helps you empathize with Tiera. The pace was steady, with some dips but a great wrap up to book one.
What I hope to see in the next book:
Answers to what the heck happened to a certain someone that isn’t around anymore?
Answers to the mysterious someone’s or groups mentioned?
What’s going on with that gate?
How will things go with the last pseudo character to be introduced?
You’ll have to pick up this book/audiobook and give it a listen so see what’s going on with “Irritators” and if you could handle them as well as a whole world ready to be explored.
P.S. I especially enjoyed learning that the dinosaur names and mannerisms are scientifically accurate.
