What an outstanding story and audio performance!

This was my first book by this author and wow! I pre-ordered this on audio after early reviewers were singing its praises and started it as soon as it released. What a ride.

When traveling nurse Jaymes ends up on a new assignment in Montana, she ends up with lore roommates than expected, including closed off smoke jumper Calvin Fitzgerald. Calvin is locked up tight about his family and has no plans for commitment and love. The roommate banter between Jaymes and Calvin in the beginning is entertaining but this story gets emotional quickly. I’m not sure what I expected from this story but it absolutely delivered and then some.

I listened on audio and the narrators did a fantastic job throughout, ESPECIALLY during the emotional scenes. I was crying in my car listening to it.

I am looking forward to continue this series and other works by this author!
