I didn’t enjoy listening to it, but that was because I went in imagining I’ll be getting a romance akin to the author’s previous books.

It is not.

It’s a drama with an overwhelmingly opressive atmosphere throughout. I had to make myself continue several times because of the amount of angst and things just kept turning from bad to worse for the protagonist.

However, it is a really well written book that did leave me satisfied.
