A fun cultivation novel.
While the MC doesnt progress very far in cultivation there are plenty of story elements to keep us entertained.
The one point that hinders my review is that I could not accurately keep track of the characters. With their traditional Chinese names, it was accurate to the story, but difficult from a listening standpoint as I only know English.
The names of weapons as well as the pronunciation of Chi as Chur also threw me off.
The book has a slow start and it was difficult to become invested in the beginning, as I couldn’t easily follow what was happening. The book picks up after the MC is sent on his assignment and is much more enjoyable from then on.
I would recommend this book as long as you know what you are getting yourself into.
