Why there are so far reviews for this has me puzzled. (Just 1?) . Anyhow – this book is very good – and gets into the weeds of a CIA agent posted to Syria. The setting is credible – and the book is fast paced. I hope wo see more of this from McCloskey. The narration .. so so. I have not listed to Whelan before – some hissing with the “ss” gets to grate after a while. Accents were good. A “list of characters” would be handy – come on PUBLISHERS lets earn your keep.
