Omg, let me get this out first! Thank you for writing this type of story again! I love the Love Line series and this is along the same concept but still different. It’s the mystery, but not, the unknown but not, it’s the phone call meet cute, accidentally but not. It’s like fate gave June and Mikey the do-over they both so deserved but in a way that they had to figure it out. Junie takes the first step in calling Mikey first and from there the shuffled pieces of we’ve met but haven’t been fully acquainted recently yet puzzle pieces start to align, and then slowly and skeptically Mikey forms this bond with the past and present June and eventually through facing their fears, or “taking the wheel” per se makes them realize what they’ve known and had all along.
I don’t like writing reviews because I can’t express my feelings and thoughts well but I really fell in love with the characters from the get go and I just hope this kind of meet cute is explored more. Unknown and known just by their actions alone and the mystery of figuring it all out. Cara Bastone had got it in the bag with this type of story, like her specialty and only she can’t write it well and be loved. And accidental but intentional love meet cute.
