I’ll try keep my review short.
First, have you read or listened to the first book, To Beat The Devil? No? Then what are you doing here? I implore you to do that first, then come back here!
This book, this series is one hell of a good time! Gibson is truely imaginative with a real talent for world building.
A note on the change in narrators: Shawn Purvis was missed. But I feel I need to stress this is solely due to his incredible performance with “To Beat The Devil,” and not due to a lacking of Jeff Kafer’s. It is a shame Purvis was not available, however Kafer is truely a professional that holds up his credibility.
The bottom line is that Gibson, and Kafer have kept me thoroughly entertained. I look forward to the next installment. If you are looking for an exciting fantasy series, this is it.
