I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, all that was asked of me is to leave an honest review.
The story was just a great adventure leaving me wanting to know whats comes next around the corner in this twisted events of fate. At first I was thinking oh this will be just another oh shit my worlds gonna end fantasy, and it was slightly cliche and predictable but I loved it all none the less and will be buying volume 2 soon to see what the story has next in store for us, very exciting! The narrator did an excellent job, never seemed monotone in his reading adding great inflection depending on the scenario, really drawing you in. I love the various maniacal laughs and emotion raised during dramatic moment and the individuality of each characters voice, except for maya and a few other females that sounded the same. My biggest grip is his voice for 75-80% of the female characters were rather high pitched and nasally sounding roughly the same, sounding rather forced to sound “feminine” I enjoyed his voices for the old lady in the beginning and the high ranking necromancer but I wasn’t found of maya, candice and the mysterious woman who all sounded somewhat similar. That being my only gripe I loved his narration of the book and this was a great listen. I will definitely listen to this again in the future!!
