It was like someone novelized a Sims type game of people with Super Powers. There was frequent reference to character sheets and points. The main story line revolved around building up enough points to do what the main character wanted and expending points to get things done. There was also a teenage male nerd fantasy of building up a harem of attractive women who were completing for the main character’s attention. I felt that women characters were treated with kindness and respect and not simply as sex objects. The writing was good and while the story didn’t appeal to me, I can see it being popular with a certain demographic.
