Warrior Music by Denise Kahn was a mixed bag for me. There were pros and cons. I’ll start with the cons. The recording was a little echoish. The narration was good. I feel like there wasn’t enough feeling in this story. I think I would have connected more to the story if it was told in first person dual POV by Max and Sam. I didn’t see them falling in love. Just all of a sudden they were.
Pros. I did like the premise. I liked the characters, just wanted more from them. My favorite parts were when Max was writing in his journal because you heard his POV. The ending was sweet.
Overall I would say it was an interesting book but could have been executed a little better.
