Excellent story. Rochelle Alers’ characters are well defined and truly refined … a great read. I love the warmth and kindness of these characters. In addition to telling a great story, the narrator did a pretty good job varying voices for the many characters. My only frustration with the performance was the distracting mispronunciation of so many words. Example: slivered almonds as “silver almonds”, orthodontics became “orthopedics” I became so distracted, I began to make a list, adding to the distraction. The producer should do a better job of catching these mistakes.
