I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t. I don’t understand why a woman’s story would be narrated by a man. Especially a story of such magnitude. I should have been able to feel her pain. This really kept me from being able to enjoy this book. I tried. I really did. But because of this reason I returned it before finishing.
I suggest having a woman narrate and I will certainly try again.
