Ugh, so much disappointment with this book. It was WAY too long for how little happened, only to have a cliffhanger at the end to finally pique some interest. However, it is not interesting enough for me to even want to continue wasting hours of my life on this series. I understand wanting to “hook” readers for your series, but that would entail giving them SOME answers or SOMETHING interesting in book 1. The premise starts strong and leaves nothing but disappointment in the hours and hours of “love story” cringy scenes between two people that barely know each other. The narrator sounded very robotic and not natural at all. This book is NOT an adventure or a mystery or anything other than a very mediocre romance novel.
