I really liked the book. The story and the narration are superb (Baldree’s one of the greats – on par with Jim Dale – with his different voices). The ending just makes you immediately want to buy the next book (or get it with a credit – this one was definitely worth one) to hear where things go after a major plot development.

And it’s nowhere near enough to dock a point, but the phrase “I winced” has to be used about 200 times (or if just seems that way) and that’s 199 times too many. Again, I think the book is great, but hopefully a thesaurus was picked up by Mr. Kirrin and a word other than ‘winced’ is used in book 2 (hopefully not 200 times). Get this book though…don’t wince!
