I should start by saying I am Christian. I read the reviews before I purchased the set. There were a couple that talked about the constant Biblical and Christian references in the books. I wanted to read it mostly for the narrator., Kevin Pierce. I was even a little skeptical in the first book about the preachy aspect of the narrative. As the books proceeded, I was very glad that I gave it a chance. I think for this book to work for anyone, you should be a confident Christian and also a believer in doing the right thing. It is about the collapse of the government and heavily involved in self defense and militia based tactics to survive. I hated to see the books end! Now…about Kevin Pierce. He is the best narrator that ever took a breath! I wish most of my library were narrated by him. A good narrator can take a mediocre book and make it good and take a very good book and make it great. He has a quality that is very rare in his inflection and tone of voice that makes the book come to life.Keep reading Kevin!!!
