I was really interested in the content of this audiobook, but 10 minutes in, I knew I’d have to read it instead. The author sounds like she’s speaking into a bucket, complete with mouth noises and all. It’s full of mispronunciations (she pronounces façade as if it rhymes with shade) and the word “relevant” as “revelent”. Every sentence she speaks is as if it’s a question, with incessant teenager-like upspeak.

These things and the poor production value seriously diminish the credibility of the author. It was as if she was reading words that weren’t hers.

I couldn’t handle it. If you take on listening to what might be an otherwise great book, may the odds be ever in your favor.
