I like that this book gives us a way to get to know the characters prior to them being stuck in a post-EMP world, while being a long length and very action centered. The nature of the action is also very unique in a post-apocalyptic book. Once I started listening, I didn’t put it down even though it’s over 7 hours in length. It captured my attention from the start. I enjoyed getting some insight into other characters that I assume will become more active in future books, as well as some back story on our main characters. Kevin Pierce expertly brings the story to life, by breathing emotion and voice into the narration. I highly recommend this Audible book.
