The writing was pedestrian and lacking much in the way of compelling content. The conversations between characters were forced and artificial. The story was blatant and simplistic. The narration was okay and I did not notice any bad editing. I think the story has promise and since book 2 is included in Audible Plus, I will listen to it and see if the author does better. If I had to pay for it, I would not be listening to book 2. This is not the worst book I’ve listened to, and if you want a read where you don’t have to use your brain very much, this may like this more than I did.
