yes there’s a harem, there is no sex.
the good.
the setting of the story is interesting, a city and Nation slowly being taken over by a super villain. most of the characters seem human and are not over-the-top caricatures, and the character Power and drives are interesting if not well explored.
The bad.
I get this feeling this story suffered from a lot of editing. the first Arc of the story the main character was trying to buy a shipment of bismuth with which to transmute into gold, why bismuth is never explained in the story, bismuth atomic element number 83 is according to the narrator easier to transmute to gold atomic number 79, then lead atomic number 82.
Why bismuth is easier to transmute than lead that is never explained at all anywhere in the story, and I don’t know why.
the precise mechanics of how the protagonist power works is never explained and is essentially Magic, it does everything and anything that the character needs at the particular moment whether or not it makes any consistent sense and the author is reluctant to explore the implications of the power that he has written in.
the main character is fantastically unimaginative with some quick math and the numbers that they are provided within the story, I worked out that by limiting himself to small amounts 6 grams per day the main character could have transmuted nearly $100,000 worth of gold every year for his entire life without any trouble. if the main character was more rational then he would probably be a god in short order, but instead we get a Harem anime
