I’m a big fan of LITRPG, but am a bigger fan of Apocalyptic LITRPG. This was thanks to Tao Wong’s The System Apocalypse series. Dave Willmarth has raised the bar.
I didn’t find the sound effects a distraction, having listened to The Outlander series in the 1990’s. In fact, it wasn’t too badly done.
I’m looking forward to the next books in the series and hope I don’t have to wait too long!
