For goodness sake, do authors take the time to listen to the body of work of the reader’s they engage?

Instead we get mildly nasal sound of the most annoying coworker you can imagine. Most of the reading is flat. The rare flourish of extra effort consists of poorly executed country accents.

The story itself is an amateur hour creation. The author expended significant effort endlessly expounding on the evil of every “typical straight white male”. The stereotypes are really quite jarring, I can’t say I see much difference between this author’s statements and hate speech, as there wouldn’t be any question if the demographics of his target was different.

This book is being returned, but there’s enough promise I’ll give the next one a chance if there’s a different narrator.
