Although it’s obvious at the end that this story will continue, thankfully, it does not end in a cliffhanger. There are different circumstances and events, of course, but this story pretty much follows the post-apocalyptic scenario: confusion about what is happening, struggling to travel without electronics and power, and fighting off desperate people. As with most novels in this genre, this one is a character-driven story and Kevin Pierce applies his superb narration skills to this performance. I look forward to the next book in this series.
