Not a bad addition to the apocalyptic horror genre; a bit overly dramatic at times by the narrator, but not too bad. This is your typical virus gone viral killing 95+ percent of the world’s population. Those that remain are immune and now must face the overwhelming task of survival. The story transitions from Nick in El Paso to Liz in Albuquerque and back again; typical format for this genre. Ultimately the two join up and then it’s the struggle from meeting the good and the bad to finding safe housing in which to wait out and survive the crisis. The characters are thinly developed and naive, but likable. It appears this is the first book of a series, but I don’t see myself investing more time into this story. Three.point.five for the effort.
