You know how at the end of The Sixth Sense, when they reveal the twist, you can see that you were given the clues you needed all along? You can go back and watch it again and see that it all fits together. This isn’t that. It twisted and twisted and twisted until I felt like I was just left swinging in the breeze. The twists were gratuitous and the evidence never meshed. to make matters worse, the author clearly thought this was philosophical, but it felt like a teenage boy reading all his “deep” poetry that he’s hoping will blow your mind. It ultimately just left me hoping it would end as soon as possible.
