Pros: The perspective is unique and amusing, and the author has a quick wit. I was drawn into the story completely.
Cons: Considering the perspective, this book still manages to lean heavily towards misogyny. If you have issues with the portrayal of women as objects, this may not be the book for you. That being said, this book could also be interpreted as subversive based on the protagonist. In the end, I was forced to think about it, and maybe that is the point.
Take Away: I am not sure how I feel about the way the book deals with women (maybe that was the author’s intent), but I will likely listen to the second volume.
