This is Adriana’s first foray into romantic suspense with the first book of the Landry Security Series. She nailed it!!
Troy and Dahlia’s story has everything. It’s grumpy/sunshine, age gap, forced proximity, touch her and die and much much more. Troy is the ultimate brooding alpha bodyguard with a history that keeps him from getting closer to anyone. Dahlia is the outgoing, sassy, funny, beautiful off-limits coworker. Their chemistry is intense and obvious to everyone. The banter is second to none. Simply put, these characters are just likable, and you are invested in them from page 1 to the end. And what a ride they take you on!!
CJ Bloom and Connor Brown did not disappoint with the narration. CJ Bloom was delightful in her portrayal of Dahlia. She captured her personality completely. Connor Brown is a new narrator to me and I had some pretty high expectations for whoever took on Troy. I really enjoyed him as Troy and will look for more from him.
This story pulls you in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop listening, but I also didn’t want it to end. It’s always a bonus when Ford and Lincoln Landry make an appearance. It’s the cherry on top of an already stellar book. Highly, highly recommend!!
