Having recently discovering and being introduced to the LITRPG genre by He Who Fights With Monster this book by comparison is BORING. I listened for 4 hours and almost deleted it before I decided to keep trying and listened for another 3 hours. Everything just seems half-assed to me in terms of development. The main character is boring. The world is boring. The attempts at describing sexual encounters is boring and feels like the main character and author are virgins. Multiple futuristic pop-culture environments existing in a fantasy world was weird and uninteresting. The descriptions of stat numbers felt empty and wasn’t described well over audio. Example: Bow 13/22/47. What does that even mean? It was made worse by everything being read in a monotone. Even though it’s free with my membership, I recommend skipping this one.
