1-star rating after book one.
Ridiculous that it’s billed as “thriller”. It is a very thin veil for a trashy romance.
I’m giving it 1-star because the underlying mystery is an interesting story. The s*x is gratuitous. I don’t mind it if it carries story forward. What is not needed is (for example) an 11 minute s*x scene, or random throwing-in of words like f**k & d**k. Even the author seems uncomfortable with the way they are used. Just don’t fit in the flow of the story at all. What a waste of a good storyline.
