It’s been so long since I read the series that this book is a part of that I thought I would be lost – but while knowing the details of the black prince’s past gave more weight and context – it really could be read alone. I was surprised how much intrigue managed to be crammed into a single book, and I sincerely hope this author continues releasing audio books, in this world or others.
