I’ve been enjoying this series. the performance is a bit jarring at 1st, only cause the story is written a bit oddly. With that said, most novels go about telling the story with a side bar of how the characters get their powers, through items and training and such, with major focus on the big plot points. where as this story is nothing but how the characters get their powers, how the whole world gets its powers. It has made it so everything is a lesson and everything has meaning at something. is it academy award winner writing? no, but it’s a damn hard concept to convey, a world in which everyone can saluter everyone else and only respect and fear keep the peace.
