What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
As a former army medic and currently law enforcement I had high hopes for this book series. The main Character is a former army medic currently a prosecutor.I like books that make you consider the probabilities of what need to be prepared for in XYZ scenario. This book has way to much blah, blah, blah about sex and the afterward thoughts about sex with his rival defense attorney.Trying to find good seats on an airplane after boarding? When is the last time this author flew?Carrying his rival attorney home on his shoulder for miles with an AK47 in one hand with her unconscious the whole trip, then she wakes up when she is home and doesn’t have any fainting spells, and proceeds to have sex with him? Mmmm doubtful, but whatever. The book does proceed to talk about a bit of a bike ride someone offers him $1,000 for the bike and he declines- I will give him that- everyone would want the bike or old vehicle…. but an AK47 slung across your back while riding a bike would make you a big juicy target to a perp who wants an AK…. If you don’t know how easy it is to take out a person on a bike even when unarmed, then I am not going to teach some perp by posting it… Riding a bike with an AK slung across your back only sounds cool to people entertained by Hollywood ideas…You want a better series about EMP? Lights out, or everyone of Rawles books except the first one.
